And Y'howshu`a saved RAchav the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Yisrael even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Y'howshu`a sent to spy out Yericho.

And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that YY may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.

When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Yericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

Them also king David dedicated unto YY , with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Plishtim, and from Amalek.
