And these are the kings of the country which Y'howshu`a and the children of Yisrael smote on this side Yarden on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lvanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Y'howshu`a gave unto the tribes of Yisrael for a possession according to their divisions;

Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lvanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.

So Y'howshu`a took the whole land, according to all that YY said unto Moshe; and Y'howshu`a gave it for an inheritance unto Yisrael according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Yarden, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lvanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Kenaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Yvusi, heard thereof;

And the kohanim that bare the ark of the covenant of YY stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Yarden, and all the Yisraelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Yarden.

And Command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esav, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:

Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as YY spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.

These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

Thus dwelt Esav in mount Seir: Esav is Edom.

And Yaakov sent messengers before him to Esav his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.
