And YY Elohim prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Yonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Yonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us shofars by our own strength?

Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

So Yonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.

But Elohim prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.

As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work:
