There cometh a woman of Shomron to draw water: Y'shuw`a saith unto her, Give me to drink.

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a talmid, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

So he arose and went to TZarfat. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

Y'shuw`a answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of Elohim, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

After this, Y'shuw`a knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.

Now Yaakov's well was there. Y'shuw`a therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

(For his talmidim were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
