Let the kohanim, the ministers of YY , weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O YY , and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their Elohim?

And he brought me into the inner court of YY 's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of YY , between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of YY , and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their Elohim?

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their Elohim? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zkharyah son of Ben-Berekhyah, whom ye slew between the temple and the Altar.

And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O YY Elohim, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Yaakov arise? for he is small.

The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of YY ; the kohanim, YY 's ministers, mourn.

Take with you words, and turn to YY : say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O YY , let my YY , I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is YY thy Elohim? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

Then said I, O YY Elohim, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Yaakov arise? for he is small.

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

Now therefore, O YY our Elohim, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art YY , even thou only.

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O YY ; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

O Elohim, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

Then Shlomo offered burnt offerings unto YY on the altar of YY , which he had built before the porch,

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and YY hath not done all this.

He trusted in Elohim; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of Elohim.

And now, I pray you, beseech Elohim that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith YY -TZvaot.

Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:

Gird yourselves, and lament, ye kohanim: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my Elohim: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your Elohim.

My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

Then will I cut off Yisrael out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Yisrael shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither YY shall lead thee.

And, behold, one of the children of Yisrael came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moshe, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Yisrael, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And in that day did YY Elohim of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

For the Kenaanim and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of Elohim, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in Elohim: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my Elohim.
