In that day shall YY defend the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as Elohim, as the angel of YY before them.
In that day will I make the governors of Yhudah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Yerushalayim shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Yerushalayim.
Hear the word of YY , ye children of Yisrael: for YY hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of Elohim in the land.
Who is an Elohim like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Yet the number of the children of Yisrael shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living Elohim.
Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Yisrael and Yhudah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, YY hath forsaken the earth, and YY seeth not.
Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Yhudah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
In those days, and in that time, saith YY , the iniquity of Yisrael shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Yhudah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.
Fear thou not, O Yaakov my servant, saith YY : for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
Thus saith YY ; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Yisrael for all that they have done, saith YY .
Therefore thus saith YY -TZvaot concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Yerushalayim is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other elohim, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Yhudah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.
For we were bondmen; yet our Elohim hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our Elohim, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Yhudah and in Yerushalayim.
Moreover Mnasheh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Yhudah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of YY .
Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O YY , art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.
Hast thou utterly rejected Yhudah? hath thy soul lothed TZiyon? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!
Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
