Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Yirmeyah-yahu, Thou speakest falsely: YY our Elohim hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:

And the head of Efrayim is Shomron, and the head of Shomron is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by Elohim: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto YY Elohim of Yisrael.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for Elohim resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, Elohim resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

And it came to pass, that when Yirmeyah-yahu had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of YY their Elohim, for which YY their Elohim had sent him to them, even all these words,

Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Yishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Yhonatan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for YY hath spoken.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to YY : though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Yishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Givon:

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is YY ? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my Elohim in vain.

The fear of YY is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy Commandments.

YY shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

And Pharaoh said, Who is YY , that I should obey his voice to let Yisrael go? I know not YY , neither will I let Yisrael go.

And Lot went out, and spake unto his son in laws, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for YY will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his son in laws.

Then said they, Come and let us devise devices against Yirmeyah-yahu; for the Torah shall not perish from the kohen, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

Because of the Chaldeans: for they were afraid of them, because Yishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Bavel made governor in the land.

Then they said to Yirmeyah-yahu, YY be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which YY thy Elohim shall send thee to us.

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto YY your Elohim, saying, Pray for us unto YY our Elohim; and according unto all that YY our Elohim shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.

As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of YY , we will not hearken unto thee.

YY sent a word into Yaakov, and it hath lighted upon Yisrael.
