Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Bavel is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the shofar among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.

Set up the standard upon the walls of Bavel, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for YY hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Bavel.

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith YY , and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Bavel, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Thus saith YY , Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

O ye children of Binyamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Yerushalayim, and blow the shofar in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the shofar?

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith YY , that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

A sound of a cry cometh from Bavel, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:

A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

And afterward, saith YY , I will deliver TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Yhudah, and to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, saying, Thus saith YY ; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.

The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.

Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Yhudah desolate, and a den of dragons.

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.

And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkshofar by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
