Therefore shall TZiyon for your sake be plowed as a field, and Yerushalayim shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.
For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
They have sown wheat, but shall reap tshofars: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of YY .
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Yhudah, and from the streets of Yerushalayim, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
YY hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of YY , as in the day of a solemn feast.
Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of YY 's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
