In the ninth year of TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Bavel and all his army against Yerushalayim, and they besieged it.

Thus saith YY -TZvaot; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Yhudah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

YY shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other elohim, wood and stone.

The word that came to Yirmeyah-yahu from YY in the tenth year of TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

The word which came unto Yirmeyah-yahu from YY , when Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Yerushalayim, and against all the cities thereof, saying,

Behold, I will command, saith YY , and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Yhudah a desolation without an inhabitant.

For thus saith YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Yisrael.

Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Yerushalayim came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.

In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of YY was upon me, and brought me thither.

Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.

For thus hath YY -TZvaot said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Yerushalayim: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

TZidkiyah-yahu was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Yerushalayim. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Yirmeyah-yahu of Libnah.
