I spake also to TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Bavel, and serve him and his people, and live.

Then said Yirmeyah-yahu unto TZidkiyah-yahu, Thus saith YY , the Elohim of hosts, the Elohim of Yisrael; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Bavel's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Givon, spake unto me in the house of YY , in the presence of the kohanim and of all the people, saying,

And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Bavel, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Bavel, that nation will I punish, saith YY , with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

Thus speaketh YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Bavel.

Be not afraid of the king of Bavel, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith YY : for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.
