Jeremiah 26:9

Why hast thou prophesied in the name of YY , saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Yirmeyah-yahu in the house of YY .

And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the Temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Bar-Nabba, and expelled them out of their coasts.

For we have heard him say, that this Y'shuw`a of Natzeret shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moshe delivered us.

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Yerushalayim with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Y'shuw`a hid himself, and went out of the Temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

These words spake Y'shuw`a in the treasury, as he taught in the Temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

But the chief kohanim moved the people, that he should rather release Bar-Abba unto them.

But the chief kohanim and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Bar-Abba, and destroy Y'shuw`a.

And when he was come into the Temple, the chief kohanim and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

And I will make Yerushalayim heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Yhudah desolate, without an inhabitant.

That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that Elohim hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

And as the lame man which was healed held Kefa and Yochanan, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Shlomo's, greatly wondering.

And by the hands of the emissaries were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Shlomo's porch.

And the whole congregation of the children of Yisrael assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.

For TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith YY , Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Bavel, and he shall take it;

Thus saith YY ; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Yhudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

And thou shalt say to Yhoyakhim king of Yhudah, Thus saith YY ; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Bavel shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her kohanim, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her,
