I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

For the children of Yisrael and the children of Yhudah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Yisrael have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith YY .

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against YY our Elohim, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of YY our Elohim.

Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is YY ? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my Elohim in vain.

But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other elohim to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

Thus saith YY , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my Sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

But the house of Yisrael rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my Sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

O generation, see ye the word of YY . Have I been a wilderness unto Yisrael? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are YY s; we will come no more unto thee?

And YY spake to Mnasheh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.

For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against YY ; and how much more after my death?

Ye have been rebellious against YY from the day that I knew you.

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst YY thy Elohim to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against YY .

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Yisrael now say:

For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other elohim, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

Thus saith YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.

Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

Should ye not hear the words which YY hath cried by the former prophets, when Yerushalayim was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

From the thirteenth year of Yoshiyah-yahu the son of Amon king of Yhudah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of YY hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.

And YY hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith YY ; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

Therefore thus saith YY -TZvaot; Because ye have not heard my words,

She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in YY ; she drew not near to her Elohim.
