Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

They forgat Elohim their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith YY ; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Yisrael: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten YY their Elohim.

Hath a nation changed their elohim, which are yet no elohim? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

Because thou hast forgotten the Elohim of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:

For Yisrael hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Yhudah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

I will greatly rejoice in YY , my soul shall be joyful in my Elohim; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget Elohim.

Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other elohim, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

And I Yochanan saw the holy City, new Yerushalayim, coming down from Elohim out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith YY Elohim.

And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

Ye daughters of Yisrael, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.

And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.

But Yeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook Elohim which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

And the children of Yisrael remembered not YY their Elohim, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side:

Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
