Jeremiah 1:15

For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith YY ; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his Throne at the entering of the gates of Yerushalayim, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Yhudah.

And say unto them, Thus saith YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Bavel, my servant, and will set his Throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith YY , and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Bavel, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

And I will make Yerushalayim heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Yhudah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Yerushalayim, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Yhudah.

And all the princes of the king of Bavel came in, and sat in the middle gate, even Nergalsharezer, SamgarNvo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Bavel.

Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Yaakov, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.

They ravished the women in TZiyon, and the maids in the cities of Yhudah.

Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Yhudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

Behold, I will command, saith YY , and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Yhudah a desolation without an inhabitant.

Thus saith YY ; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Yhudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith YY -TZvaot; Ye shall certainly drink.

Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Yhudah desolate, and a den of dragons.

Thus saith YY , Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Yisrael, saith YY : it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

Set up the standard toward TZiyon: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?

The word which came unto Yirmeyah-yahu from YY , when Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Yerushalayim, and against all the cities thereof, saying,

The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.

There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.

But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
