And Eliyah-yahu came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if YY be Elohim, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve Elohim and mammon.
Wherefore YY said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
So these nations feared YY , and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
As also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.
