And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith YY .

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

And the children of Yisrael did evil in the sight of YY , and forgat YY their Elohim, and served Baalim and the groves.

When Efrayim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Yisrael; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other elohim whom ye know not;

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Yisrael shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

For Yisrael hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Yhudah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no kohen to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the Torah of thy Elohim, I will also forget thy children.

They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.

And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.

Therefore thus saith YY Elohim; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith YY Elohim.

Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

Therefore thus saith YY Elohim of Yisrael against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith YY .

Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

For according to the number of thy cities were thy elohim, O Yhudah; and according to the number of the streets of Yerushalayim have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Because thou hast forgotten the Elohim of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:

They forgat Elohim their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.

So are the paths of all that forget Elohim; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

For he built up again the high places which Hizkiyah-yahu his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Achav king of Yisrael; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

Thus Yehu destroyed Baal out of Yisrael.

And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Shomron, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the Elohim of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.

And when they forgat YY their Elohim, he sold them into the hand of Sisra, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the Plishtim, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.

And the children of Yisrael did evil again in the sight of YY , and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the elohim of Syria, and the elohim of Zidon, and the elohim of Moab, and the elohim of the children of Ammon, and the elohim of the Plishtim, and forsook YY , and served not him.

Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten Elohim that formed thee.

Then beware lest thou forget YY , which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.

Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith YY , which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Yhudah, and from the streets of Yerushalayim, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

The ways of TZiyon do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her kohanim sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
