Efrayim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Ashurns, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Efrayim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Yisrael with deceit: but Yhudah yet ruleth with Elohim, and is faithful with the holy ones.

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

When Efrayim saw his sickness, and Yhudah saw his wound, then went Efrayim to the Ashurn, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

And Pul the king of Ashur came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Ashur.

And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Efrayim.

We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Ashurns, to be satisfied with bread.

The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

Efrayim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Ashur.

Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Yhudah and caused the inhabitants of Yerushalayim to commit fornication, and compelled Yhudah thereto.

Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

Though thou, Yisrael, play the harlot, yet let not Yhudah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, YY liveth.

When I would have healed Yisrael, then the iniquity of Efrayim was discovered, and the wickedness of Shomron: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Efrayim: for I am Elohim, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
