And Yosef said unto his father, They are my sons, whom Elohim hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.

By faith Yaakov, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Yosef; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.

Behold, I and the children whom YY hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Yisrael from YY -TZvaot, which dwelleth in mount TZiyon.

Lo, children are an heritage of YY : and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of Elohim, to lift up the shofar. And Elohim gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

For this child I prayed; and YY hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Shmuel, saying, Because I have asked him of YY .

And this is the blessing, wherewith Moshe the man of Elohim blessed the children of Yisrael before his death.

All these are the twelve tribes of Yisrael: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

And Yaakov's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in Elohim's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?
