And Yaakov asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty Elohim, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gavriel, that stand in the presence of Elohim; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
The secret things belong unto YY our Elohim: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this Torah.
And Elohim said unto him, Thy name is Yaakov: thy name shall not be called any more Yaakov, but Yisrael shall be thy name: and he called his name Yisrael.
And Eliyah-yahu took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Yaakov, unto whom the word of YY came, saying, Yisrael shall be thy name:
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not YY , neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the Torah and Commandment which YY Commanded the children of Yaakov, whom he named Yisrael;
