And Elohim said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Yitzchak: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
And I took your father Avraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Kenaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Yitzchak.
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Avraham begat Yitzchak, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Yitzchak begat Yaakov; and Yaakov begat the twelve patriarchs.
And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Yitzchak, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
And Elohim said unto Avraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Yitzchak shall thy seed be called.
