Then the angel of YY put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of YY departed out of his sight.
Which I Commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I Command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your Elohim:
And David built there an altar unto YY , and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon YY ; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
For TZiyon's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Yerushalayim's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a menorah that burneth.
For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of YY ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoach and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because YY descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Then the fire of YY fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the shofar, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
