And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hevron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hevron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hevron, and he came to Shkhem.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Yitzchak and Yaakov, the heirs with him of the same promise:
And they came to the place which Elohim had told him of; and Avraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Yitzchak his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
And unto Kalev the son of Yfuneh he gave a part among the children of Yhudah, according to The Commandment of YY to Y'howshu`a, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hevron.
And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of YY , saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Yhudah? And YY said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hevron.
