Deuteronomy 7:16

And thou shalt consume all the people which YY thy Elohim shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their elohim; for that will be a snare unto thee.

They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their elohim, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

And afterward, saith YY , I will deliver TZidkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their elohim.

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as tshofars in your sides, and their elohim shall be a snare unto you.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and tshofars in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

And they forsook YY Elohim of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other elohim, of the elohim of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked YY to anger.

The graven images of their elohim shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to YY thy Elohim.

For it was of YY to harden their hearts, that they should come against Yisrael in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as YY Commanded Moshe.

They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom YY Commanded them:

But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
