Deuteronomy 4:10

Specially the day that thou stoodest before YY thy Elohim in Horev, when YY said unto me, gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

And YY said unto Moshe, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moshe told the words of the people unto YY .

And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear YY his Elohim, to keep all the words of this Torah and these statutes, to do them:

YY our Elohim made a covenant with us in Horev.

And Moshe said unto the people, Fear not: for Elohim is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the shofar, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the shofar exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and keep His Commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

And a voice came out of the Throne, saying, Praise our Elohim, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Only fear YY , and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

And thou shalt eat before YY thy Elohim, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear YY thy Elohim always.

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all My Commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

In the third month, when the children of Yisrael were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which YY Elohim of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

For I know Him, that He will Command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YY , to do justice and judgment; that YY may bring upon Avraham that which He hath spoken of him.

And be ready against the third day: for the third day YY will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

That thou mightest fear YY thy Elohim, to keep all his statutes and His Commandments, which I Command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
