Deuteronomy 26:12

When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levi, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

But the tithes of the children of Yisrael, which they offer as an heave offering unto YY , I have given to the Lvim to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Yisrael they shall have no inheritance.

And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is YY 's: it is holy unto YY .

He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the kehunnath, have a Commandment to take tithes of the people according to the Torah, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Avraham:

And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levi, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Avraham.

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.

And Yosef made it a Torah over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part, except the land of the kohanim only, which became not Pharaoh's.
