Deuteronomy 16:3

Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat matzah therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

The feast of matzah shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat matzah, as I Commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

And he took matzah, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with matzah and bitter herbs.

And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and matzah; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

And ye became followers of us, and of YY , having received the word in much affliction, with joy of Ruach HaKodesh:

Therefore let us keep the Feast, not with old hametz, neither with the hametz of malice and wickedness; but with the matzah of sincerity and truth.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: YY is gracious and full of compassion.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.

And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall matzah be eaten.

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of matzah unto YY : seven days ye must eat matzah.

And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is YY 's Passover.

And ye shall observe the feast of matzah; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the Passover unto YY thy Elohim, of the flock and the herd, in the place which YY shall choose to place his name there.

For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for YY will go before you; and the Elohim of Yisrael will be your reward.

Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Yarden were cut off before the ark of the covenant of YY ; when it passed over Yarden, the waters of Yarden were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Yisrael for ever.
