And, behold, there was a man in Yerushalayim, whose name was Shimeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Yisrael: and Ruach HaKodesh was upon him.
Therefore thus saith YY concerning Yhoyakhim the son of Yoshiyah-yahu king of Yhudah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah YY ! or, Ah his glory!
And Yirmeyah-yahu lamented for Yoshiyah-yahu: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Yoshiyah-yahu in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Yisrael: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
And Hizkiyah-yahu slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Yhudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim did him honour at his death. And Mnasheh his son reigned in his stead.
And David said to Yoav, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
Now Shmuel was dead, and all Yisrael had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
And Shaul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the Congregation which was at Yerushalayim; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Yhudah and Shomron, except the emissaries.
