And when they heard that, they entered into the Temple early in the morning, and taught. But kohen hagadol came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Yisrael, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Then stood there up one in the council, a Parush, named Gamliel, a teacher of the Torah, had in reputation among all the people, and Commanded to put the emissaries forth a little space;

And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and kohen hagadol asked them,

Then kohen hagadol rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the TZdukim,) and were filled with indignation,

Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief kohanim have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief kohanim and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, "fool", shall be in danger of the sanhedrin: but whosoever shall say, "Thou fool", shall be in danger of hell fire.

To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

As also kohen hagadol doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Dammasek, to bring them which were there bound unto Yerushalayim, for to be punished.
