I was in the city of Yafo praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said YY unto me, The end is come upon my people of Yisrael; I will not again pass by them any more.
Now there was at Yafo a certain talmid named Tavita, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and tzedekah which she did.
And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Yafo, and the talmidim had heard that Kefa was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
