And David said unto Mikhal, It was before YY , which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of YY , over Yisrael: therefore will I play before YY .

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Yishai, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

And as the ark of YY came into the city of David, Mikhal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before YY ; and she despised him in her heart.

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: YY hath sought him a man after his own heart, and YY hath Commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which YY Commanded thee.

And Shmuel said unto him, YY hath rent the kingdom of Yisrael from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

And David danced before YY with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

And David and all the house of Yisrael played before YY on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

And YY said unto Shmuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Yisrael? fill thine shofar with oil, and go, I will send thee to Yishai the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of Elohim.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of YY came to the city of David, that Mikhal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And YY said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith YY -TZvaot, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Yisrael:

Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Yisrael: and YY said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Yisrael, and thou shalt be a captain over Yisrael.
