In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
And Abner also spake in the ears of Binyamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hevron all that seemed good to Yisrael, and that seemed good to the whole house of Binyamin.
And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Yisrael unto my YY the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
And Avigayil came to Naval; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Naval's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light.
