Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of YY . And YY answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Givonites.

And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Avraham. And Yitzchak went unto Abimelech king of the Plishtim unto Gerar.

Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O YY Elohim of Yisrael, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And YY said, He will come down.

Then David enquired of YY yet again. And YY answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Plishtim into thine hand.

Therefore David enquired of YY , saying, Shall I go and smite these Plishtim? And YY said unto David, Go, and smite the Plishtim, and save Keilah.

But the children of Yisrael committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Karmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Yhudah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of YY was kindled against the children of Yisrael.

And he shall stand before Eleazar the kohen, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before YY : at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Yisrael with him, even all the congregation.

And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

And the famine was sore in the land.

And all countries came into Egypt to Yosef for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

And the sons of Yisrael came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Kenaan.

YY hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and YY hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Avshalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

And Ira also the Jairite was a chief ruler about David.

And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Yisrael,

And again the anger of YY was kindled against Yisrael, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Yisrael and Yhudah.

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of BethlehemYhudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

Therefore they enquired of YY further, if the man should yet come thither. And YY answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, YY , will I seek.
