And the men of Yhudah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Yhudah. And they told David, saying, That the men of JabeshGilad were they that buried Saul.

In Hevron he reigned over Yhudah seven years and six months: and in Yerushalayim he reigned thirty and three years over all Yisrael and Yhudah.

So all the elders of Yisrael came to the king to Hevron; and king David made a league with them in Hevron before YY : and they anointed David king over Yisrael.

But when the Plishtim heard that they had anointed David king over Yisrael, all the Plishtim came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

And the time that David was king in Hevron over the house of Yhudah was seven years and six months.

Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Yhudah have anointed me king over them.

And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hevron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of YY .

And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.

And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Yhonatan his son from the men of JabeshGilad, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Plishtim had hanged them, when the Plishtim had slain Saul in Gilboa:

And he brought forth the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, Elohim save the king.

And when all JabeshGilad heard all that the Plishtim had done to Saul,
