And the king commanded Yoav and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Avshalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Avshalom.

And it was told Yoav, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Avshalom.
