And Avshalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.
And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Yhudah's wife died; and Yhudah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
And now I have heard that thou hast shearers: now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel.
And it came to pass after two full years, that Avshalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Efrayim: and Avshalom invited all the king's sons.
And the king said to Avshalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.
