Did not Shlomo king of Yisrael sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his Elohim, and Elohim made him king over all Yisrael: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

And it came to pass that night, that the word of YY came unto Natan, saying,

Wherefore Natan spake unto Bat-Sheva the mother of Shlomo, saying, Hast thou not heard that AdoniYAH the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our YY knoweth it not?

And David comforted Bat-Sheva his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Shlomo: and YY loved him.

And Yoav fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

And these were born unto him in Yerushalayim; Shimea, and Shobab, and Natan, and Shlomo, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel:

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Shlomo, and I will give peace and quietness unto Yisrael in his days.

And of Binyamin he said, The beloved of YY shall dwell in safety by him; and YY shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

But Zadok the kohen, and Benaiah the son of Yhoyada, and Natan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with AdoniYAH.

And Azariah the son of Natan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Natan was principal officer, and the king's friend:
