And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriay-yahu in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.

Wherefore hast thou despised The Commandment of YY , to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriay-yahu the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight YY 's battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Plishtim be upon him.

Sing unto YY , praise ye YY : for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

And the men of the city went out, and fought with Yoav: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriay-yahu the Hittite died also.

And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Plishtim, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Plishtim.

And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Plishtim may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain.

And it came to pass, when Yoav observed the city, that he assigned Uriay-yahu unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of YY , and turned not aside from any thing that he Commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriay-yahu the Hittite.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
