So the king of Yisrael went, and the king of Yhudah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days' journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.

And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

Now Yoram the son of Achav began to reign over Yisrael in Shomron the eighteenth year of Yhoshafat king of Yhudah, and reigned twelve years.

And he went and sent to Yhoshafat the king of Yhudah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.

And the king of Yisrael said, Alas! that YY hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Yhudah, and made a king over themselves.

Yhoshafat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ofir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at ETZiyongeber.
