Moreover Mnasheh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Yhudah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of YY .
Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith YY Elohim; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other elohim, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Yhudah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Kenaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Because Mnasheh king of Yhudah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Yhudah also to sin with his idols:
And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Mnasheh the son of Hizkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, for that which he did in Yerushalayim.
For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
Wherefore thus saith YY Elohim; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
Notwithstanding YY turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Yhudah, because of all the provocations that Mnasheh had provoked him withal.
Then say thou, Thus saith YY Elohim, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.
