And the king Commanded Hilkiah kohen hagadol, and the kohanim of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of YY all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Yerushalayim in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Beit-El.

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which YY said to David, and to Shlomo his son, In this house, and in Yerushalayim, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Yisrael, will I put my name for ever:

Come to Beit-El, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

Though thou, Yisrael, play the harlot, yet let not Yhudah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, YY liveth.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief kohen, and TZfanyah-yahu the second kohen, and the three keepers of the door:

Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other elohim whom ye know not;

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Yaakov be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of Elohim, of which Elohim had said to David and to Shlomo his son, In this house, and in Yerushalayim, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Yisrael, will I put my name for ever:

Moreover the altar that was at Beit-El, and the high place which Yarovam the son of Nebat, who made Yisrael to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.

Go up to Hilkiah kohen hagadol, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of YY , which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

And they left all The Commandments of YY their Elohim, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

Yet I have left me seven thousand in Yisrael, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

And Eliyah-yahu said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Eliyah-yahu brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

Now therefore send, and gather to me all Yisrael unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Izevel's table.

And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Yarovam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Izevel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

And he set the one in Beit-El, and the other put he in Dan.

And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

And they forsook YY , and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of YY .

And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Yhudah had made, and the altars which Mnasheh had made in the two courts of the house of YY , did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Yisrael committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.

And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and kohen hagadol came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of YY .

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

I will also stretch out mine hand upon Yhudah, and upon all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the kohanim;
