And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which YY said to David, and to Shlomo his son, In this house, and in Yerushalayim, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Yisrael, will I put my name for ever:

For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

And YY said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the Throne of his kingdom for ever.

But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

But if ye turn unto me, and keep My Commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

And he took away the strange elohim, and the idol out of the house of YY , and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of YY , and in Yerushalayim, and cast them out of the city.

And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of Elohim, of which Elohim had said to David and to Shlomo his son, In this house, and in Yerushalayim, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Yisrael, will I put my name for ever:

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

And YY appeared to Shlomo by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

And YY said, I will remove Yhudah also out of my sight, as I have removed Yisrael, and will cast off this city Yerushalayim which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

And he brought out the grove from the house of YY , without Yerushalayim, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.

And he built altars in the house of YY , of which YY said, In Yerushalayim will I put my name.

Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of YY thy Elohim, which thou shalt make thee.

Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount TZiyon, wherein thou hast dwelt.

Then will I cut off Yisrael out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Yisrael shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto YY toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:

And the king Commanded Hilkiah kohen hagadol, and the kohanim of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of YY all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Yerushalayim in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Beit-El.

Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.

And UriYAH the kohen built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Dammesek: so UriYAH the kohen made it against king Ahaz came from Dammesek.

But I have chosen Yerushalayim, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Yisrael.

For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

For the children of Yhudah have done evil in my sight, saith YY : they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
