And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Eliyah-yahu said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and teaching.

But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

But ye shall receive power, after that Ruach HaKodesh is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Yerushalayim, and in all Yhudah, and in Shomron, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

The prayers of David the son of Yishai are ended.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

And Y'howshu`a the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moshe had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Yisrael hearkened unto him, and did as YY Commanded Moshe.

Give the king thy judgments, O Elohim, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

And Yehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Yisrael: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
