And Achav had seventy sons in Shomron. And Yehu wrote letters, and sent to Shomron, unto the rulers of Yizreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Achav's children, saying,
For the saying which he cried by the word of YY against the altar in Beit-El, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Shomron, shall surely come to pass.
And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Shomron,) and brought him to Yehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Yhoshafat, who sought YY with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
And he bought the hill Shomron of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Shomron.
And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilad.
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which YY thy Elohim giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?
Seest thou how Achav humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.
And YY said unto him, Call his name Yizreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Yizreel upon the house of Yehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Yisrael.
