(Beforetime in Yisrael, when a man went to enquire of Elohim, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Shmuel the seer, and in the book of Natan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
And all that Shmuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Yoav the son of TZruyah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
Yet YY testified against Yisrael, and against Yhudah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep My Commandments and my statutes, according to all the Torah which I Commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Yhudah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on YY thy Elohim, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Shmuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
Now after the death of Y'howshu`a it came to pass, that the children of Yisrael asked YY , saying, Who shall go up for us against the Kenaanim first, to fight against them?
