Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.

And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

And Saul said unto Shmuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed The Commandment of YY , and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moshe and Aharon, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: YY is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Yisrael, and turn again with me, that I may worship YY thy Elohim.

Precious in the sight of YY is the death of his holy ones.

And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gat: and he sought no more again for him.

And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of YY , and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.

Then the princes of the Plishtim went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.

And Bilam said unto the angel of YY , I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.

And David answered and said, Behold the king's spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch it.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

And Shmuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept The Commandment of YY thy Elohim, which he Commanded thee: for now would YY have established thy kingdom upon Yisrael for ever.

And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Eliyah-yahu, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of Elohim, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.

Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
