Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Yishai give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;

So when all Yisrael saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Yishai: to your tents, O Yisrael: now see to thine own house, David. So Yisrael departed unto their tents.

And in that day there shall be a root of Yishai, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Yishai, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And there happened to be there a man of Bliyaal, whose name was Shva, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a shofar, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Yishai: every man to his tents, O Yisrael.

And Naval answered David's servants, and said, Who is David? and who is the son of Yishai? there be many servants now a days that break away every man from his master.

And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Yishai, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of Elohim for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Yishai coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.

Then Saul's anger was kindled against Yhonatan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Yishai to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?

And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Yhonatan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Yishai to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day?

And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and YY was with him.

And David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds over them.

And there came of the children of Binyamin and Yhudah to the hold unto David.
