And he said unto him, Elohim forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Now YY had told Shmuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,

And Yhonatan said unto David, O YY Elohim of Yisrael, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;

And the people said unto Saul, Shall Yhonatan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Yisrael? Elohim forbid: as YY liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with Elohim this day. So the people rescued Yhonatan, that he died not.

Elohim forbid that we should rebel against YY , and turn this day from following YY , to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of YY our Elohim that is before his tabernacle.

And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my YY these words? Elohim forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, Elohim forbid.

YY Elohim hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

And the people answered and said, Elohim forbid that we should forsake YY , to serve other elohim;

And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Yhonatan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?

And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Yhonatan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as YY liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.

Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
