But all Yisrael and Yhudah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.

And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.

And the chief kohanim and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

And now, O YY my Elohim, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Yisrael: and YY said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Yisrael, and thou shalt be a captain over Yisrael.

Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of YY be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.

Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.

For Mordekhai the Jew was next unto king Achashverosh, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
