And the men of Yisrael were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.

And Y'howshu`a adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before YY , that riseth up and buildeth this city Yericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

And Yisrael vowed a vow unto YY , and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

Then the kohen shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the kohen shall say unto the woman, YY make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when YY doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.

For, as YY liveth, which saveth Yisrael, though it be in Yhonatan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.

And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Plishtim, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Plishtim.

Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
